Meet-Up Success!

Many kudos to anomie666 for spearheading a hugely successful meet-up! (Which may still be going on -- I just got home.)

I had a great time and it was nice to see many existing friends as well as put faces to LJ-names. Thanks also to The Burren, who generously supplied us with an assortment of deep-fried goodies as well as pie (ala mode, even).

And personal thanks to the people who insisted on buying me drinks, even if you never got around to taking advantage of me afterward.

It was great meeting all the folks, including a few I'd known only through icons. I was a late departure at around 10:30, so I'd say it was a massive success.

Since this came up in conversation - the face-altering site I was discussing is the Perception Labs face transformer (http://www.perceptionlab.com/), and my icon is in the style of El Greco.

I've meet him before at 90s night but wasn't able to say hello in person. When I went to the bar to get another drink, he had disappeared. He is like a ninja, you never seeing him arriving or leaving.

Yay! The Burren was a great choice. Although I was disappointed that my inspiration for the evening, the person who said "I won't be wearing pants," was, in fact wearing pants. But the pie (and mozarella sticks!) was delicious.

Hmm doesn't ring any bells. I did just "Z-M-G" in big caps on my nametag given the lighting there. There was one group of people in back that I didn't get to, that were sitting next to a tall guy with long hair. Or, unless you came in after about 9, i was gone.
