purse theft at Joshua Tree
Feb. 2nd, 2008 01:56 am I found a purse with IDs and credit cards sitting in the middle of Cottage Ave. around 10:30pm tonight. Using LinkedIn, I was able to find the owner's phone number and returned the purse to her.
The purse had been stolen from Joshua Tree in what was believed to be a secure location sometime after 9pm and apparently dumped on the street with nothing more than a pack of cigarettes taken. The police asked the owner to call her banks to see if her card had been used before deciding whether to file a police report. This is just another reminder to watch out for sketchy suspects possibly using the back streets to make a getaway.
