Totally off the wall question...but Ill ask anyways.

Im craving a big bowl of really yummy french onion soup. I cant think of one place Ive been to in the area that has it but maybe one of you have!

Haha, Franks is ridiculous. McCormicks is at least a little better. But yeah, its in Boston; one in Faneuil and one over by the Park Plaza.

Ooooh this is interesting. I love to cook and I decided shortly after posting this that I should just try to find a good recipe for it. I wonder if last issue is still in stores!

Matter of fact, I've never had any sort of positive experience at the Davis Square Au Bon Pain, strangely. They always seem to be out of some key item (like cups, napkins, or lids).

I agree it's poorly run. When ordering a sandwich the person making it always takes their time like both of us have all day to kill.

Bartleys and Sandrines both have excellent ones. Sandrines is not cheap but it's *out of this world* good.

Christophers often has vegetarian french onion soup, which is *amazing*, but it's not beef (if you care) and it's not all the time (more of a problem)
