ok we are all sitting happily at our computers and soldiers and iraqis are dying by the dozens. no more war for empire. no more war for exxon. banner drops to come in davis square. stop the war and stop bush. i'm proud to be an american against war. stop doodling on your computers and start some action. stop the warmakers now.

hey buddy, let me sum this thread up for you. someone posted a thought. some other dude responded by attacking the original poster's choice to not capitalise (or is it capitalize?) some letters.

we all understood the post. every single person who read it, was able to comprehend it.

and that is the only point i'm trying to make.

your whole point about language only working because of shared rules is fundamentally flawed. why? BECAUSE WE COULD ALL UNDERSTAND THE POST, YOU ASSHAT!!!

you want to talk about blatantly missing the point of a post? dude do yourself a favor and review this thread.

Arrogant? Where do I say I'm better than anyone? The guy posted what, judging by people in Davis Square and previous posts on this journal, should've been a popular opinion and got pissed on. Part of that was because he came across like an asshole, part of that was because of how he typed. People may have understood what he was saying, but more than a few dismissed it because of how he said it. That's the power of the written word for you.

Petulant child? You're the one who started rolling their eyes like a kid who was told he'd get no ice cream until he finished his vegetables.
