I just got this e-mail from McIntyre & Moore:

We at McIntyre and Moore Booksellers are pleased to announce that we just received a signed lease on our new space at 1971 Mass. Av., in Porter Square, Cambridge, downstairs from Bob Slate's. We’ll be opening there in late March or early April. We’ll still be on the Red Line, and for our Davis Square friends we’ll be about a ten minute walk away. We’ve already started pricing books for the new store, and we’re excited about the stock we’ll have.

Until then, please visit us in Davis Square and help with the move by participating in our moving sale:
20% off through Wednesday 2/20
30% off Thursday 2/21 through Wednesday 3/5
40% off Thursday 3/6 through Wednesday 3/12
50% off Thursday 3/13 through Wednesday 3/19.

Thanks for your interest, and we hope we’ll see you soon.

(Old-timers will recognize this address as the former location of Bookcellar Café. For earlier discussions, see here and here.)

I hope they do better in that space than the previous tenants.

Well thank goodness at least they aren't closing indefinitely.
Still, i wish they would stay where they are.

Thank you for posting this.

Awe, that's a shame (the overlap, not the Committe. that is pretty great).
One of these days i will finally make your acquaintance!

W00t. The Bookcellar space is ideal for them. YAY!

As for the event thing, I think they should partner up with the nice people at Good Food Cafe. Or Boloco.

good idea

Ooh, good idea - GFC strikes me as very spacious, and it's not *too* far up Mass Ave. Though Boloco would be even closer ...

I'm so glad they're only moving to Porter. Although this gives me one more reason to go hang out at Bob Slate's and I really don't need more stationery.

Sweet...I can couple that with visiting Spark then. My bank account may not recover.
Thanks for the info.
