I would like to try and see the lunar eclipse tonight. Any ideas where I can go near by...I dont mind driving a little bit if necessary. I just drove home from Burlington and it was clear skies! I hope it stays that way.

How about the Harvard Observatory (http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/events/public_events.html)?

I just looked out my front window, boom, there it is.

I'm going to Danehy Park in Cambridge. No more than 15 minutes' walk from Davis Square. Artificial hills with few trees, perfect for this kind of thing.

No need to go any further then the Square, I think.

But in any case, I can just look out the kitchen window, or go outside, 'cept it's cold. :]

I wish I had seen this request yesterday! One of the Science teachers at SHS was setting up his telescope in front of the high schools and invited students to come up and see the eclipse. I'm sure he would have also welcomed interested community members!

When I was walking home from the T after work @ 6:30pm, the moon was in perfect view from the middle of the bike path. (Not that this helps now...)
