davis_squareA couple people were robbed at knifepoint near the Tufts campus around 1 a.m. last night at Powderhouse and Packard Ave. Somerville and Tufts police are looking for a white male with a crewcut who got into a waiting red Taurus hatchback which headed up towards campus.
People, if you noticed a car like this scoping out the area last night, I'm sure the police would like to hear about it. Also in December we had a post about a robbery at the same place and same time at night.

Somerville Police received an initial report from the 911 operator that in the early morning, approximately 1:00 a.m. of March 7, 2008, an armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Powderhouse Blvd. and Packard Ave. in Somerville. The suspect came upon three Tufts students, showed a knife and demanded money, which one student gave him. None of the victims were injured. The suspect and accomplice then fled the area in a red Ford Taurus. The suspect description is listed below:
White male, approximately 20-25 years old, approximately 5'9" with a crew cut wearing a dark jacket and hoodie.
An area search was conducted by Somerville Police, which proved negative. At this time, no suspects have been identified.
