Life Models?
Mar. 17th, 2008 04:10 pmDoes anyone know of places in the immediate Davis area that would host open life drawing sessions -ie. have a space and facilitate the hiring of models? Willoughby and Baltic used to, but I believe they've stopped at this point. Any other suggestions?

Date: 2008-03-17 11:34 pm (UTC)I tried to guage how many people were going to show up before the session to be sure we could afford the model, and week after week many people would tell me they were going to show up, but usually there were between one and three of us.
If you knew you had a group of people that were interested in life drawing together and were willing to be responsible for paying the model, I'd be happy to loan you use of the space in return for a few dollars for heat. I can't give the space out to one person and a model because of liability issues.
The Zeitgeist used to also host life drawing on Sunday mornings, but I'm not sure they are doing that anymore. You might want to check with "Out of the Blue" in Central Square as well. Otherwise, it is the Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
