I am on a mission. A mission to find half-priced Easter candy. Specifically, I am seeking Reese's peanut butter eggs (like this). I have had no luck at the two CVS stores in Harvard Square (where I work). Does anyone know whether they still have them at the CVS or Rite Aid in Davis?

Go ahead and mock me, but these things are ambrosia. I gotta have 'em.

Seems to me that to get the GOOD half-priced Easter candy, you have to be there when the stores open on the Monday morning after Easter, because after that, there's mostly crap left!

i realize this doesn't help you, but they have a few left at the cvs in belmont center (where i work :> ), so they might at the davis square cvs too. i was in rite-aid on sunday and don't remember seeing them, altho the place did have a lot of cadbury creme eggs.

It's not exactly a recent development. Hershey's has been licensed to make and sell Cadbury's products in the US since 1988.

So did you decide that the commonly-available creme eggs were teh suck after 1988, or only once you had heard that Hershey's was making them?

Do you mean Cardullo's in Harvard Square? Or are you talking about the bakery on Prospect in Central?

Hmm, would they more likely still have it in a neighborhood where Greeks live? Their Easter is over a month from now. (Is Armenian Easter the same day as Greek?)

The Davis CVS had lots of Reese's eggs on Saturday night, but I have no idea if they still have them. (Try phoning them?)

Yesterday at 5pm the Rite Aid still had peanut butter eggs.

Often the CVS on Broadway in Ball Square has after-holiday candy for longer than other places.

I assume you mean Magoun Square? There hasn't been a CVS in Ball Square for several years now.

You should hit up the Rite Aid. I was in there Monday night, and they had a TON of candy left. The good stuff, too - Reese's eggs, Cadbury eggs, jelly beans of all shapes and sizes...
