Howdy all. Anyone been to the Good Food Cafe? It's at 2378 Mass Ave right outside Davis Square. A highschool classmate of mine owns it but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. It has some great Yelp reviews which say it has great food and free wifi.
Anyway, I wanted to help spread the word that there's some free live music there this Friday night:
"A great local band, The Wicked Pickers, will be playing at the cafe on Friday, March 28th. They describe themselves as hillbilly jazz and feature guitar, mandolin, electric violin and fretless bass. The have some songs you can listen to on thier website, www.wickedpickers.com It should be lots of fun. Hope to see you there!"
Just wanted to help spread the word for what appears to be a fine locally owned business. :)

Date: 2008-03-26 09:43 pm (UTC)Well, perhaps kid-friendly to a point. My 4 yo daughter is a bit picky. For example, last time we lunched there, she would only eat the turkey from the turkey-cranberry sauce sandwich I ordered. Breakfast sandwiches are good; they have smoothies but I haven't tried them yet. You can check the GFC website for its menu: jimsgoodfood.com.
There are two high chairs there, but no changing table in the restroom! Bring your own thingys to entertain the little ones; I noticed only 1-2 toys (best suited for infants) on the counter. But the interior is very inviting (great wall color and accents) and spacious.
