Custom Map-Making Website

Ugh. Don't you hate it when you saw a handy website like 6 months ago and you can't remember the URL when you really need it? I'm wondering if someone can help me...

I'm looking for this website that lets you easily create your own custom online maps. Like, let's say you wanted to create an online interactive map of Davis Square with pushpins showing your favorite places and then share that with others.

The website I'm thinking of starts with a "P" and, as with all things webby, has a totally made up word for a name.

I'm asking here because a woman who works for that website has posted here a bunch of times asking people to contribute to her custom area maps.

(Tried LJSeeking this with no luck. Also tried to do what I wanted with Google Maps but couldn't get it to work.)

You're thinking of Platial. There is also fmatlas.com, run by a Cambridge-local company. I know the folks who run both and they're both great groups.

I whipped up the map I needed in Platial. If anyone is dyingp to know what amenities are around the lovely Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Winthrop, you need to wonder no more! ;D

Wintrhop? I would not want to stay there if I were visiting folks in Somerville. Non-MBTA bus (that doesn't take CharlieCards) to Blue Line to Green Line to Red Line, oh boy!

Yeah... I know... I was really hesitant about it. But it's about a dozen people and you'd be surprised at how hard it is to find public-transportation accessible lodging that's cheap and can accommodate so many people! At least they are all really excited by the fact that this hotel is a block from the beach.

It sounds like there's a free shuttle to the airport from the hotel, and it's also near Belle Isle, which is quite nice.
