plant nursery / gardening store
Apr. 4th, 2008 03:53 pmHopefully I'm not missing anything, but I went through the entire gardening tag, and a few pages of the business services tag, and couldn't find anything that obviously covered this...
For the first time in several years, I have a porch with planters, and I'd like to grow something in them--possibly flowers, definitely herbs. Since it's April, it's a little late for starting from seeds indoors (and I'm lazy and busy and out of practice growing things from seeds anyway), so I'd like to buy some actual seedlings or adult plants to put into the planters as soon as I'm sure it's not going to freeze again. However, I haven't run across any gardening stores or nurseries in the few months I've lived in Somerville. Where's a good place around Davis Square or in Somerville in general to buy plants and gardening materials? Since I don't currently have any gardening tools or resources, I'd prefer to go to an actual gardening store if possible, not just buy plants from a grocery store.
I own a car right now, but will be giving it up in a few months, so anything outside of T range will only be accessible to me for the short term.
~edit~ These suggestions are awesome. Thank you muchly!
