i love the idea of this program.

however, there isn't much incentive to for someone in somerville to pay 27 dollars to join. is it likely that more businesses will join soon?

the 27 dollars seems to buy five benefit stickers. why is this the only way to buy them? i certainly don't need five stickers and it seems counterintuitive to only sell to groups of five people. i'd be more than willing to pay six dollars to support this great program even though i rarely shop at the current member businesses, but not 27.

that said, any four bike-riding readers want to go in on a five-sticker package?

Agreed. Also, 4 of the participating businesses are within walking distance of Davis Square, so since I live there, I'd have no reason to bike to any of them.

Same with me, though it sounds like all I need to do is walk into the business with my helmet.

Yeah, I suppose, though usually when I'm shopping, I like to leave my helmet locked to my bike, so that I don't have to deal with it. Also, I think the stickers are really unattractive, so that's two strikes against using them at all.

I agree. This sounds like a neat program but there should be some way for me to buy just the one sticker I need.

Looks like you can buy one at the stores that sell them. It's just too much trouble for them to mail single stickers, I guess.

Yeah, the FAQ says you can buy just one sticker, but the mail minimum is 5. I'm vaguely interested since I bike through there every day on my way home. The only place I'd ever actually use is Dave's though. Now if they got some other folks on board...

I am currently working on signing up more businesses for the program. You should also encourage places that you frequent to join the program. All of the participating businesses sell the stickers for $5 each. Sorry the stickers aren't better looking. i'm hoping that the concept of Bicycle Benefits wins hearts and helmets over more than the look of the sticker. Keep pedalling!

I just sent an email, but I'll write you here, too, just in case...I'm a bike commuter *and* massage therapist who would definitely be interested in signing up with you and offering discounted massage.

Hi Everyone-
We sell the Bicycle Benefits stickers at Greenward, individually for $5. You should check with the other participating business to see if they are selling them as well. Our discount is 10% off purchases of $25 or more.
