Sushi place opening tomorrow

According to people I met at the Davis Square Task Force yesterday, the sushi place at the former La Contessa on Highland Ave. will open tomorrow.

I'm still not sure if it's called Shino Express or Snappy Sushi. The last time I walked by, it had both signs on it.

AMAZING yet also horrible (for my bank account). If it's as good as the one on Newbury, Shino has some great sushi.

Maybe "snappy sushi" is just a description of the sushi?

I believe that Shino is changing the name of both locations to "Snappy." They do have pretty great, fast, fairly reasonably priced sushi!

Last time I went past Shino Express on Newbury, it looked like they had changed their menu dramatically, and changed to using only brown rice. Has anyone eaten there recently, or know if that will be true in the new place?

Oh, ew. I haven't been there in 2 or 3 years, but to my understand (from reports from friends), they've gone up in price a good bit. I hope it's not true!

I know their place on Newbury has definitely switched over to just brown rice. Personally, I prefer it, but I definitely understand people wanting the option! Not sure what this place will have-- but I can't wait to find out!! (FINALLY)

I saw that the LaContessa sign had been taken down. I know it is there's to do what they will with it but does anyone know what became of it. It would be a reall shame if they just dumped it in the trash!

Are you talking about the big one over the storefront? They didn't take it down- they just painted it black.
