Hipsters, artists, students, LJ'ers citywide: Share your Somerville love - design a t-shirt for the city!

The winning design will be produced for sale citywide, with any proceeds benefitting Somerville Homeless Coalition. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 16, 2008.

(Mayor Joe Curtatone & the Young Somerville Advisory Group are teaming up with Somerville Homeless Coalition to sponsor this t-shirt design contest. The goal: increase civic engagement and Somerville-ness.)

more details:

• Entries must be submitted electronically in JPEG or TIFF formate, black and white only.


• Designs must be between 2x5 and 8x10 inches, and may include front, back, or both sides of the shirt.


• again, the deadline is Friday, May 16, 2008


• submit entries to: tshirtcontest at clockwinders.net


• include your name, address, phone, and e-mail address with the submission.

My "Somerville is for Lovers" ringer t-shirt gets ooohs and aaaahs everywhere it goes. I like to think it's my excellent boobs, but I do believe it's the shirt.

It was a Somerville Homeless Coalition shirt from a few years back and I understand they cannot keep them in stock. I wonder why they don't simply make more of THESE?

In this case, the contest is being sponsored by Mayor Curtatone and the Young Somerville Advisory Group. (SHC is a strong supporting player in the effort, but not the driving force.)
