Need a cat sitter

I am going out of town on May 1st and need to find a new cat sitter. I was using Cambridge Critter Sitters, but I've moved since my last arrangment with them and the more I used them the less satisfied I was with the service. Can anybody recommend in home cat sitters they like?

My experience with Stinky's for rabbit sitting was quite bad... the end of our vacation was Christmas and the sitter basically decided to give them twice the food the day before and leave it rather than come in on the holiday. And the litterbox wasn't cleaned enough either.

Maybe they're better with cats. Or maybe it's harder to tell if they've skipped your cat for a day.

I was not ever able to get them to return a phone call, and left several messages at different times, so good luck on that!

I can very enthusiastically recommend Dawn of Happy Tails Pet Services at 781.396.4348. She was very caring and conscientious.

I can also, with even more enthusiasm, decidedly NOT recommend Creature Comforts. AT ALL.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Cathy, at Cat Happiness. She took care of my diabetic cat when ever I went out of town -- she is loving and sweet and dedicated to cats. She's also capable of giving meds, including injections (like, say, for a diabetic cat). Her phone number is 781-322-6075

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I was able to connect up with a neighbor but I also used suggeations to set up services for the future.
