Shaw Farm milk?

I've heard that Kickass cupcakes is now selling Shaw Farm milk. True? If it is, anyone know in what form (glass quarts, plastic quarts, plastic half gallons?), what kinds (skim, 2%, whole, cream-top, chocolate, strawberry, other?), and how much they're charging?

Right now they sell the following:

Pints of milk (whole, banana, vanilla, chocolate, and possibly others)

Glass quarts of milk (whole, 2%, skim) - $1.75 plus 90cent bottle deposit

Glass quarts of heavy cream (you have to ask) - $5 plus 90cent bottle deposit

I believe prices are listed on their website (www.kickasscupcakes.com of course) Hours and phone number is definitely there.

Soon (when construction is finished) they will also be selling the whole line of Shaw's products (I believe that includes plastic half gallons; I know it includes ice cream) at the Dairy Bar next door.

Shaw's delivers to them on Wednesdays and they are closed on Mondays. Sarah has been doing a better job of keeping enough milk in stock, but she does have limited fridge space, so you shouldn't expect a full selection by Tuesdays.

(This week the skim milk is extra sweet; I wonder what tasty things the cows have been eating.)

Thanks. I was just over there (Saturday), and they only have whole milk left in glass bottles.

Where have you been? Kickass has been selling Shaw Farm milk pretty much since they opened up. There have been several posts here about it (and about where else you can get local milk...).

chenoameg summed it up, but what she didn't mention is that if you buy a quart of milk at Kickass, you can bring the empty glass bottle back and get your 90¢ deposit back.

Supposedly once they open the "milk bar" next door they'll have a wider range of Shaw Farm products -- I'm on the edge of my seat.

Well, on the odd occasion that I crawl out from under my rock, I've been getting my Shaw Farm milk (and delicious eggs which are also available at Dave's) atChip-in Farm (http://www.chip-infarm.com/), near where I work. I'm not a fan of the cupcakes at Kickass (Lyndell's is much better), so I almost never go there. Since we're running out of milk today, and I'm not going to work until Monday, I thought I'd ask. The snark-o-meter is reading a bit high today, though.

Also, the milk bar looks pretty close to opening. They were wiping out the inside of the fridge (which is in place, as is the register) when we walked past today.

This thread turned out to be useful, but I agree with the snarkers above -- why ask a question like this here (and get wild guesses) when you can phone the store (and get an accurate answer)?
