I've heard that Kickass cupcakes is now selling Shaw Farm milk. True? If it is, anyone know in what form (glass quarts, plastic quarts, plastic half gallons?), what kinds (skim, 2%, whole, cream-top, chocolate, strawberry, other?), and how much they're charging?

Thanks!

p.s. if they are selling and no one knows how much, I'll probably head over and find out today or tomorrow...

...seriously.

here, i'll even write it out for you.

"say, do you sell shaw farm milk?"

[pause for response]

a.) "oh, you don't, okay, thankyou!"

b.) "oh, you do? could you tell me what kind you have in stock and what sizes you have?"

You might want to add some detailed instructions on how to operate a telephone.

I've seen glass quarts of whole and chocolate there, not sure what else.

Glass quarts now, more & ice cream soon

Right now they sell the following:

Pints of milk (whole, banana, vanilla, chocolate, and possibly others)

Glass quarts of milk (whole, 2%, skim) - $1.75 plus 90cent bottle deposit

Glass quarts of heavy cream (you have to ask) - $5 plus 90cent bottle deposit

I believe prices are listed on their website (www.kickasscupcakes.com of course) Hours and phone number is definitely there.

Soon (when construction is finished) they will also be selling the whole line of Shaw's products (I believe that includes plastic half gallons; I know it includes ice cream) at the Dairy Bar next door.

Shaw's delivers to them on Wednesdays and they are closed on Mondays. Sarah has been doing a better job of keeping enough milk in stock, but she does have limited fridge space, so you shouldn't expect a full selection by Tuesdays.

(This week the skim milk is extra sweet; I wonder what tasty things the cows have been eating.)

This thread turned out to be useful, but I agree with the snarkers above -- why ask a question like this here (and get wild guesses) when you can phone the store (and get an accurate answer)?

I'm glad you asked here, otherwise I never would have known about Shaw's farm milk let alone where I might find some.

So thanks.

Where have you been? Kickass has been selling Shaw Farm milk pretty much since they opened up. There have been several posts here about it (and about where else you can get local milk...).

[livejournal.com profile] chenoameg summed it up, but what she didn't mention is that if you buy a quart of milk at Kickass, you can bring the empty glass bottle back and get your 90¢ deposit back.

Supposedly once they open the "milk bar" next door they'll have a wider range of Shaw Farm products -- I'm on the edge of my seat.

They're selling them in glass bottles, they're about a liter -- 2% -- not sure what else.

Vist Shaw Farm's website and check the LINKS page. There is a list of places they sell their milk. Also their 100th year anniversary party is this weekend!
