Davis Sq T-station artwork lj icons

Since the MBTA changed the photo last year I've always wanted to shoot a composite/panorama of the big artwork display in the Davis Square T station. Not that it ever happened :D

But at least I took some photos of the newly installed artwork yesterday and created lj icons. If anyone wants to grab any of these feel free to do so. Larger versions can be found here.

Those are cool! Just a heads-up, you might want to check with the original artists about this, just as a courtesy. You can find their names here (http://www.mbta.com/about_the_mbta/news_events/?id=15011&month=&year=).

Checking with the original artists is a great idea. If it were me, I'd be flattered. I can imagine being a little annoyed otherwise.

Because this is livejournal and it's no that big of a deal. But the website you posted is helpful because it might be a good idea for someone using the icons to credit the original artist, I just don't think it's necessary to contact them.

Also, and I could be wrong (I do not speak Law), but I think in this particular case the "artist" is the person who took the photographs used in the icons. Crediting the creators of the original paintings seems like good manners, though.
