Somerville Postcards
May. 19th, 2008 11:53 amI'm quite certain I haven't seen this mentioned here before.
I need to buy about two dozen postcards that say "Somerville, MA" somewhere on them. I think I might have seen some at the Blue Cloud Gallery many months ago, but I'm curious if anyone has seen some around elsewhere. Design doesn't really matter, just so long as it's clear they're from here. (Burrito wrappers can't really be mailed, I've found.)

Date: 2008-05-19 07:34 pm (UTC)Anyway, it's got this little old Italian-looking guy, or maybe I just say that because he looks like my Italian grandfather. He's picking grapes in a backyard, and it says "Greetings from Somerville, Paradise City USA."
Best thing ever. If your search turns up anything like this, please let me know. ;)

Date: 2008-05-19 10:11 pm (UTC)The other, which reads "Greetings from Somerville", features a photo close-up of yellow flowers in a garden and was issued by the Somerville Garden Club and SAC for a garden tour on June 17 of an unspecified year. The front is generic enough to cover several months of the year if those organizations wanted to issue the postcard for general use.
