Farmer's Market?
Jun. 10th, 2008 11:24 pmAssuming it's not quite as sweltering tomorrow, I'm thinking about checking out the farmer's market. Anything I should know? I've never been (to this one) before. Anything to check out or avoid specifically? Is it worth trekking over from newton? (I have the day off tomorrow and will be local in 2 more weeks, and I'm curious!)

Overall, the market is fun to check out, but don't plan on getting a ton of variety beyond greens.

From Newton you might check out the Boston farmer's markets. They happen several times a week at several different locations.

There's always at least one bread place there, and I've had some very tasty bread -- especially the guy with tiny little loaves.
One of my housemmates was very happy with the quality of beef tenderloins he bought from the meat guy there.
