Closest and/or cheapest car rental place that's open on weekends?

I'm looking to rent a car from Saturday through Monday, and will not have a ride to pick it up. Does anyone have any experience with car rental places in the area? Walkable and/or transport accessible, please. I'm definitely looking for cheap versus luxe. Enterprise in Davis is long gone, no? Thanks!

I've used the Enterprise in Central Square. Good staff and pretty reliable. But I would advise to show up early as they get very busy on Saturday morning.

there's a Thrifty in Harvard Square, and an Enterprise in Central Square. Another Enterprise is on a side street in Arlington, a couple blocks from the #77 bus line.

there's an alamo/national on mass ave between harvard and porter... if you have a costco membership, they are a little cheaper.

I recommend Enterprise (http://www.enterprise.com/car_rental/home.do).
1. They will pick you up and drop you off if you call and ask them (depending on where you are, you might need to use a certain branch for this, but they will do it, and they're nice about it too.) So no friend/T/whatever needed.

2. Half price rentals on weekends -- v. good deal.

I recently used the one in Medford at 221 Mystic Ave (just west of Harvard ST)-- Sat. hours 9-noon-- and while a tiny location, they were super nice and helpful. (apparently there's also one Sullivan-square-ish).

Wherever you go, definitely call ahead or make a reservation online.

Thanks so much for suggesting Enterprise! They were freakishly courteous and friendly, and the sales girl gave me a swanky car and honored the weekend rate through Monday night, saving me a ton of money. They also picked me up, which made life so easy! I think I'm converted...

This is about the Enterprise on Mystic in Somerville (near Home Depot/ Circuit City). I had a great experience with them just last week. However, today I went in to rent again, and found out that they had just changed the whole management because apparently the management was being too lax about things.

Today's experience with them was terrible and humiliating. The friendliness and compassion of the staff there are gone.
