Room needed to teach a class on July 19th
Jun. 27th, 2008 07:49 amDear Davis Square-
I am looking to rent a room for one day(July 19) to teach a class. The room needs to be able to comfortably hold 10 people. I am ideally seeking a place in Cambridge/Somerville/Boston with reasonable train access (20 minute walk or less)- Willing to consider Arlington or Medford as well if there is easy bus access... Room doesn't need desks-ideally some chairs would be nice.. massage rooms, small dance studio rooms, open office rooms, open rooms in the back of stores, theatre space can all work.
Looking for a full day (8ish hours) for around $150.
email me at shnickyy at yahoo if you know of a place or can point me in a direction- Thank you thank you thank you..Stephanie

Another idea is the Dilboy VFW Hall. I'd think it would be really cheap if it was a weekday.

Date: 2008-06-27 12:39 pm (UTC)I had hoped to start a community-based non-profit that would offer this sort of service, but my life took a drastic turn for the worse and it hasn't been able to happen.
I'm not sure if the room is large enough or if they allow it to be used for that long a time period, but the Harvest Food Coop has a community room available to their members.
And I know the YWCA (there's one in Central Square not too far from the YMCA) that rents out rooms, though I think it's more expensive than what you're looking for.
