Hi - I looked through the tailoring tags and found suggestions for repairs of torn leather, but I'm looking for someone who has tailoring skills AND can alter leather. A quick Google is turning up mostly places in Everett, Revere and Lynn for motorcycle accessories.

I have a new fashion (not biker-thickness) leather jacket that fits perfectly on top, but needs to have the side seams taken in at the bottom because my stomach is not of the same diameter as my chest :)

Thanks for suggestions/recommendations.

Try Jimmy's Shoe Repair on Prospect St. just off of Central Sq. in Cambridge. They sewed a new zipper into my motorcycle tank bag and did a great job for short money. Replacing the bag would have cost over $200, they did the repair for $35 IIRC. I'm sure they could do something about your leather jacket.

I went to a place in Central Square...not sure of the name, but it's on the upper square, past Prospect more across from the Citizen's. They put a lining in my leather jacket and it was awesome. If anyone can do it, they can.
