It's horrible to see what is happening to this city. No bars should be given 2am licenses. People really don't need an extra hour or two to drink, seriously.

I know a lot of people who enjoy the Blue shirt cafe. I haven't gone in myself but I always hear great things about them. I didn't know they were looking to expand. I can see why it'd be in their best interest though.

Why do you think 2 am licenses are bad for the city?

I'd go to Blue Shirt more often if they expanded. As it is now, it's just too small a place for me to want to spend any time in.

They stop serving in the "upscale" part at 10:30pm. I reckon after that you can seek your thrills with the help of alcohol.

so it looks like the McIntyre and Moore space has been taken, at least the "For Lease" sign is down and there are prints of a cutting board and a bowl. Any idea what's going in here? It's such a great space!

Regarding the comment about 2 am licenses....'why do you think 2 am licenses are bad for the city?', I agree with the previous poster and would instead ask the question....Why do you think that they're good? I'll guarantee you they primarily benefit the bar owner, and the patrons, who more often than not live outside of the city. I think it would be better if we focused more on benefitting the residents who have to deal with the noise and disruption.

I've never found the 2 am licenses to have any effect on me, as a resident two blocks from the Burren. Maybe the noisy people just don't walk my direction?

Did you take any notes on this meeting that you could post? I can never go to these meetings because I work in the evenings.
