Pemberton Market now has beer!

The relocated Pemberton Market, at Mass. Ave. and Day Street, received its liquor license yesterday at 3 pm. They now sell beer, and they are busy building and stocking the wine department as I type this.

And are no longer 24 hours. *strangles* I learned the hard way.

I talked to an employee (maybe the manager?) about that. They don't want to run a 24-hour store. They think it would bring them more hassles than profit, especially since they'd need to lock up the liquor or otherwise prevent people from buying it after 11 pm (state law). He told me that Bread & Butter had been repeatedly robbed during the overnight hours.
