Hello Everyone...

I'm writing from our new store in Ball Square.  It's called Twinkle Star.
There are basically no "children's stores" in Somerville.  Most parents are forced to buy at Target / Kohls etc.

We carry clothes from Infant to size 5.  We also have activities 3-4 days per week free of charge in the playroom dedicated to kids fun in the back of the store.  The July schedule is posted on our website www.shoptwinklestar.com

The focus of Twinkle Star is community, quality and value.  Please come visit the store and wish us luck.

Thank You!

I noticed your store last week. When did you move in?

Welcome to the neighborhood! I don't have kids, but there are lots of families with small children in the neighborhood.

I just noticed it too -- glad to know I'm not unobservant, it really is new! I don't have kids, but I know some, and I look forward to stopping by some time.

Welcome to Somerville!

To what extent do you sell toys? I can't really tell from your website. Thanks.

People buy children at Target? I always thought they bought them from China and Africa. Go figure.

Everything else from Target is made in China, why not the children department too.

More seriously, welcome, welcome, welcome. Although I wish you were in Davis itself, this is one of the categories which has been missing from the greater neighborhood. Along with the arrival of Bowl and Board, this makes me optimistic about avoiding Harvard-Squareization in Davis. Thanks.

When the kids get bigger than what your store sells, try Stellabella Toys, just over the city line in Inman Square and Porter Square.

They're not bad for babies either, really.

i bought some baby legs for my son there a few weeks ago. The store space looks great and the employees were really friendly (and totally cool with me nursing him there, which was awesome)!

Are you going to be carrying only brandname items, or are you considering selling locally-crafted chidren's items on a consignment basis?
