blueberry picking?

It's blueberry season and I don't want to miss it! Does anyone have any suggestions for good you-pick places that aren't TOO far away? We're thinking of going to DeCordova (in Lincoln) this weekend if the weather improves so bonus points to anyone who knows of places in that direction that are worth going to. Thank you!!

if ipswich isn't too far -- give russell's a try. their blueberries were wonderfully in season last week.

Indeed. And given that Lincoln was the stated destination in the original entry, that really puts this post outside the purview of Davis Square, I think.

Well, I live in Davis Square. I mentioned that I was going to Lincoln because if anyone had recommendations of places that were around or between Somerville and Lincoln(rather than a completely different direction), it would help me cut down on wasted time/gas/pollution/etc. I suppose I could have posted in a Boston community, but you're right, everyone is nicer here.

We enjoyed Honey Pot Hill Orchard this past weekend. They are in Stow, which is not too far past Lincoln. They just started picking on Friday. They have some farm animals too, so may have more families than other places, but they aren't super commercial feeling at the same time. They had a TON of berries to pick and a bunch getting ready for this weekend.

I love kids (not in a creepy way) so I don't even mind family-oriented places as much as some might. Except that cute little ones might distract me from my berry picking mission! Thanks for the recommendation. :).
