Another roomte request

Hey,

  Im moving to the Boston area in mid August and Im in search of an apt/roommate.  Ill be starting my first year at Tufts in the social psych doctoral program.  Ive tried Craigslist but thats about it and i dont really know how else to go about this.  I know what area I would like to live in (Davis Square/Somerville/etc.) and I would really like to live with someone (s) similar to me in interests and politics, belief system, etc.  Anyone in need of a roomate or just have some advice? Id REALLY appreciate it!

have you tried checking out coffee shops around here? i dont' know how local you are right now before you move here, but i've seen a ton of flyers for roommates around davis (and inman, too).

Do u mean livejournal? Yea, i checked it out and its mostly freshman and other undergraduates discussing their upcoming year.

Nope, not lj. A site Tufts hosts. Go to Tufts.edu's main page and start poking around looking for housing stuff. It took me a while to find it when I posted on the board, but I know it was there somewhere as of about last December.

another place to look is the phoenix classifieds (http://classifieds.bostonphoenix.com/). (local free alternative paper. very cool.) it comes out every thursday.

bostonapartments.com (http://www.bostonapartments.com) has a roommates section that was pretty helpful to me a few years ago.
