this afternoon, i stopped for lunch at the wendy's in waltham.
(yes, i am a wendy's slut.) i was sitting there with my frosty
(mmmm), helmet on the table next to me. an old guy walks up and
politely asks "do you ride a motorcycle?"
"yes."
"you know that lottery thing where you can win a harley?"
"no, haven't heard of it."
"oh. well, there was this thing, and i won it, and i don't ride.
and i want to sell it. do you want to buy it?"
"no, but if you give me your name and number, i can pass it on
to people who may be interested."

pass it on if you know someone who might want to buy a harley.

update: he didn't know what it was, but according to this lottery info page it's either a Sportster or a V-Rod.

ah, but beyond that-- they have exceptional salads. and they're HUGE.

i used to live off the 99-cent menu.

according to bhakti, McDonald's recently has surpassed Wendy's salads. a variety of greens, instead of just iceberg, and other good veggies. she's pleased because it gives another good option when fast food is the only option. it may be worth checking out.

the salad i had had more than iceberg lettuce in it... i think. i had a mandarin chicken salad, so i can't tell you much about the veggies.

it was still DAMN GOOD. i hope this dumb little "healthy fast food" trend keeps up because i LIKES it. :)

I'd be happier with a Wendy's in Davis than our pathetic McDonalds.

This one doesn't even have a shake machine. They do, however, have an espresso machine. I think that says something about the area.
