Be part of the "Cathedral of St. Ursula!" (Yes, our house has a nickname!)
We are 3 women in their mid-20s looking to add a 4th roommate who fits the attitude of our house. We are located 10 minutes' walk from Davis Square, near Powderhouse Circle. We are looking for a new roommate for Sept. 1st.

You would have a medium-sized room in the top half of a two-family duplex; it's a fairly nice room with a small closet and a bay window.
Other rooms include:
1 bathroom,
1 living room,
1 dining room with huge table,
1 small library,
1 kitchen.
There are 3 other roommates, two of whom are engaged to each other; all of us are friends. We are all either working professionals or graduate students (or both).
We also have a cat. Other pets are negotiable on a case by case basis.
The downstairs folks are our friends; we often hang out on their porch and we all share the tiny yard/garden.
We like to play games (RPGs, computer, and board games), do various musical things, ride bicycles, garden in the tiny yard, host parties, have occasional BBQs, do random craft projects, cook/bake, read, do environmental stuff, watch movies and anime, and think about gender theory and engineering (usually not at the same time).
We don't watch a lot of TV though we have one. We have cable and fast wireless internet. We don't have a land phone line.
We occasionally eat together and often socialize for a few hours in the evenings. We also sometimes all go out to eat or have friends over.
We have fun parties on a semi-monthly basis. Sometimes they are loud; sometimes we stay up late.
We split up chores as a household and sometimes meet to discuss household stuff. We are not complusively neat, nor are we slobs.
There is free laundry in the basement. The landlord is good about fixing big problems, not so good about fixing little problems, and lets us decorate any way we want (we're going for Ikea eclectic).
The house is a little old and crumbling but it has character, and the landlord repainted the outside last year.
We are queer-friendly.
Rent is $580.00/month. Move-in cost is first, last, and deposit ($1740.00).
This does not include utilities (electric, heat, and TV/internet are addons, the landlord pays water). We split utilities.
TV/internet is usually about $20.00/month per person; depending on the season electric/heat ranges from $50 to about $100.00 per person.
