A man, walking from the Davis T towards the bike path, around 11:30 AM today.
He is reading a book as he walks.

Trips over the box covering the high voltage wires.

"Damnit! People could get killed!"

See, if you're gonna do the literambulation thing, you've gotta develop good peripheral vision. There's no other way to do it.

Signed,
The guy who walked into a stop sign once

Hahahah.

Brian, your stop sign has nothing on my giant redwood.

...and I wasn't even really reading.

Once while literambulating, I looked up just in time to not walk into a phone pole.

Then saw a guy across the way, who had clearly been watching me, snap his fingers in disappointment. Gee thanks, buddy. :-)

wow! I don't have to literambulate to walk into things. I watch where I'm going and still walk into things because sometimes I think I can walk through things or think they will move out of my way...

so if you ever see a chick walking into buildings, telephone poles and other random crap, feel free to walk up and introduce yourself because it's most likely me. :)

I humbly propose "librambulating", which I believe is less likely to be mistaken to mean tossing candy wrappers on the ground while walking.
