Anyone out there registering for or has registered for or running in or walking in or thinking about running in or thinking about walking in or watching someone running in or watching someone walking in or thinking about watching someone running in or thinking about watching someone walking in the Somerville Homeless Coalition 5K Road Race?

I'd like to know I won't be doing this alone. ;)

I'm doing it. So there's at least two of us! I think a few more will probably sign up. It's a good vibe before such races, so you'll probably find some folks to be friendly with if you don't know anyone else running.

I made long-range plans expecting that the date was more based on Columbus day weekend than first weekend of October.

So, alas, this will be the first time in 8 years that I don't run it. But, it seems like the first year for a lot of folks I know, which makes it extra frustrating that I'll miss it, but bodes well for you.

I'll be running it this year- I registered last year but was sick on race day. I would recommend running the course prior to the race - there is one killer hill. The map's on their website.

Also, looking at the results from 2007, there were 632 people that ran it - I was shocked! So you will definitely not be alone.
