So it's 6:20 and there has been no sign of a postal carrier at my house on Francesca. Has any one else been left mail-less this far today?

Like Ron, I too got mail today. Though there have been times it either came a 8PM or didn't come at all.

FYI - Often in the summer when carriers are filling in for those on vacation they are doing double shifts. This is why you'll sometimess see very late mail delivery. Occasionally throughout the summer I've seen the mailman come down my street as late as 5:00 pm, sometimes later (quite a long day for someone delivering mail, climbing hills and steps, and with a very early start time!). They usually do come eventually.

I've been waiting for a package to arrive. This morning I checked the tracking number and it says that the USPS person came yesterday afternoon at 6PM, I was not at home and they left a note. Sure enough, I was at home, nobody knocked, nobody left a note. Has this ever happened to you?

i'm up from the old skybar and my mail came very late last night (after 5pm sometime 'cause that's when i last checked). usually when i'm home, i'll hear the mailman because my mailbox/doorbell combo is right under the lock for the mailbox unit and it often gets rung when they open it up. i didn't hear it last night so i don't know when the mail came, but this morning when i checked (7am), whaddaya know, a couple postcards!

I live in Winter Hill and have had erratic mail delivery, to say the least. I even wrote a letter of complaint because I was frequently not getting mail picked up or delivered on Saturdays or if it was raining. Also, there are only two mailboxes in my building, and somehow we got about half our own mail and half the other person's nearly every day. It's been a little better, but there are times I won't get any mail for 2-3 days and that seems unlikely.
