kennedy pool swim lessons

Anyone taken swim lessons at the Kennedy pool?  I was wondering how long the lessons are and if the classes are mixed (classes shared with kids?)  or if they are adult only?  Any input would be great. thanks.

People have discussed the Kennedy pool in the past, but I don't know if anyone has answered these particular questions. In any event, I added a 'swimming' tag, so please click on it and take a look at earlier discussions just in case.

I remember there are separate swim lessons for adults, and an adult lap swim schedule.
Haven't looked at the schedule closely, my guess is class length= 45min to an hour.

The classes are OK - we did water babies with my little boy - but they're way too crowded. You really don't get much out of them because they enroll too many people. In the summer, they also cut the class area in half so that open swimming could take place at the same time. We don't think we're going back.

I was wondering about this myself & interested in taking adult lessons. I poked around on their (really hard to read) website, but I didn't find anything regarding adult lessons. Well, except a .pub file about Saturday swims that I wasn't able to open.

I took adult lessons in a class at the Kennedy School. There were about 4 of us, if I remember correctly. I learned a ton and it was worth every penny. Spent lots of time on just proper kicking, which was awesome. I took the beginner class.

There are two local girls who teach adult classes. Or there were anyhow when I was there. I can't remember their names. The brunette is a wonderfully tough teacher, and really pushes you. The blonde is a lot less rigorous. She knows her stuff, but she's more of a softie.

My son took kiddie lessons and I was less impressed with what he got out of it. But the kid classes are big.
