Is there a Somerville equivalent? In particular, how to have a large air conditioner picked up?

Special Waste Disposal

Please call DPW Customer Service at 311 (617-666-3311 outside Somerville) to request TV and Computer monitor pickup, FREE of Charge. These items will be picked up in a separate DPW truck on the same day as your trash/recycling. You may also click here to request pickup online.

Pick up of “White Goods” (refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers, cooking ovens, air conditioners and hot water heaters) requires disposal sticker, at a cost of $20. This sticker may be purchased at the DPW, Monday-Friday, 8:00A.M.—4:00 P.M. Only checks or money orders are accepted - NO CASH. Place the “White Goods” item with the sticker affixed to it on the curb for pick up by the DPW on the day after your regular trash day. (Note: If your regular trash pickup day is on Friday, it will be picked up on Frday.)

Passenger car tires may be dropped off at the DPW yard Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM, FREE of charge. with proof of residency. – 4 TIRES PER HOUSEHOLD
