FOURTH ANNUAL YARD SALE TO BENEFIT SOMERVILLE UNLEASHED

LOCATION: at 38 Hanson Street (located between Beacon Street and Dane Street)

Owners of Somerville dogs are organizing a yard sale on Saturday, September 6 to benefit Somerville Unleashed, the City's Fund for off-leash recreational areas. The sale runs all day Saturday, from 9:00 to 5:00 (Rain Date: Sunday, September 7).

Donations to Somerville Unleashed help to create and maintain the City's fenced-in off-leash recreational areas, including Nunziato Field, where Somerville residents have been enjoying the benefits of socializing and exercising our dogs off leash for more than two years. The City's second off-leash recreational area recently opened adjacent to the Ed Leathers Community Park on Walnut Street, between Medford and Pearl Streets.

How might one go about donating to the yard sale? I have some stuff I was just going to take over to Goodwill.

You can drop off at the site (38 Hanson Street). The only things we can't take are food, clothes and upholstered furniture. Thanks for asking!

I hadn't heard about this new off-leash area! Can you tell me how I might access it by public transit?
