needed: real hardware store

can anyone recommend a real hardware store in the area? the sort of place that stocks parts for lawnmower engines, that sort of thing. i need some fuel line for a motorcycle; the dealers can't help me, and auto parts stores carry only high-pressure fuel line in sizes too small or too large for this application, or vacuum hoses too small.

i'm basically looking for a good old fashioned hardware store that carries a bit of everything. Tags and Economy Hardware don't have what i'm looking for.

any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

There's one Downtown on High Street (across Purchase from South Station)...I love this place. It's tiny and old and has been there forever while buildings have grown around it.

There's also old-timey hardware stores on Mass Ave in Central Square and either Cambridge or Hamsphire in Inman Square.

Although, to be honest, your best bet for lawnmower parts is probably out in the 'burbs, where there are more actual lawns...
