Friday, September 19: East Somerville International Movie Night, 165 Broadway, behind the old fire station. Italian music and food at 7 pm, followed by Il Postino at 8 pm.
Saturday, September 20: Somerville Garden Club Plant Sale, 9am-1pm, Davis Square plaza across from the Somerville Theatre.
Saturday, September 20: The Urban Country Fair, 3-7 pm in Union Square plaza. Crafts, vendors, workshops, country dancing, and live music.
Saturday, September 20: Fairy Night at the Community Growing Center, 22 Vinal Avenue, 4-6 pm. The Growing Center's calendar says: "play, sing and dance in the garden fairy land, build a fairy house, and be sure to bring a teacup to partake of fairy tea & wear your loveliest fairy wings." (I know nothing more about this event.)

Date: 2008-09-18 02:46 am (UTC)I did ride as a kid but then didn't for a long time, and my current bike is a real PoS that has me going even slower than I would on a decent one, though would no doubt still be pretty slow.
Despite it being objectively easier, in some ways I find cycling for 30 minutes harder than running for the same time. I'm just not a fan, but I'm trying.
