Arlington fireworks tomorrow; Town Day Saturday

If I don't post this now, someone else wlll post tomorrow night asking what the loud booms are. So....

The Town of Arlington will shoot off fireworks at Spy Pond tomorrow night at dusk, as part of Town Night festivities.

And if you'd like to have a good time while learning something about our western neighbor, check out Town Day in Arlington Center, Saturday from 10 to 3. It's a big street fair with lots of food, booths, and entertainment, comparable to Somerville ArtBeat or the Cambridge River Festival.

I don't know how it is advertised, but it happens every year on some Friday and Saturday in September. I suggest looking around the Town of Arlington and Arlington Advocate and Your Arlington sites.

And my recollection is that Pleasant Street is not closed, but the intersection with Mass. Ave. will be a mess and best avoided.

Anywhere along the side of the pond, from Linwood Street up to Pond Lane. Ideally you'll want to include in your photo the reflection of the fireworks in the water.
