Donating books in Chinese

Here's a question to which some helpful folks here may have an answer:

I have a bunch of Chinese language books, mostly books on historical topics, which I'd like to donate to a school or charitable organization. Anybody out there know of anyone who would take them? Or have an idea for how to find such a school or group?

I'd contact ACDC (http://www.asiancdc.org/). The organization, not the Australian rock band.

Robbins Library in Arlington might take them. They have a sizeable Chinese section in general.

Oh yes! I was in there last year and noticed that they had books in Chinese, including some from Taiwan. Excellent! Thanks for the reminder.

The Somerville Library also has a Chinese Book section. I was once told that the Chinese books were the most widely circulated of books in foreign languages in their collection.

An awesome place to try would be the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (http://www.bcnc.net/index.php). They have adult education programs, so history books might be useful.

This is a shot in the dark, but call the folks at Sampan newspaper in Chinatown. I'd link to their web site, except that they seem to have taken it down.

Sampan's web site is back now. Their parent organization is Asian-American Civic Association who may also have some good ideas.
