Did they just now change the page? When I look at it, it says:

Hours of operation for the Somerville, MA location:

it's been open for a couple weeks now.
I hadn't heard a good review yet until the one you posted. Everyone else I've seen has been saying "meh."

The salads and sandwiches are meh, but the dinners aren't bad (chicken parm, baked ziti, etc_. As some who works in the area, it's definitely nice to have another quick lunch option. But yeah. I find it mediocre.

I also had a 'meh' experience this weekend with a wrap. My dining partners had a (different) wrap and a crab cake salad. 'meh's all around. The service was nice and friendly (neighborhood-like), so I'll try them again.

They are doing breakfast on Saturdays, but I believe it is limited while they get up and running. I think the plan is still to open on Sunday's after Columbus day. I imagine at the that time breakfast will be fully functioning.

They are not at all good for vegetarians. I've tried two of their options, neither of which were any good. Everyone I've spoken to has been so-so about the place.

I've quite enjoyed the eggplant pasta dishes, actually. Not sure what you've had, but...

I haven't had the pasta, because I was uncomfortable with how the sauces were setting on the line. I try to be fairly strict, so I won't eat at locations that I think the items are becoming contaminated. The sauces were all sitting right next to each other, and one of the meat sauces crossed regularly over the non-meat sauce. They were also right next to other meat items, and after watching them for a second I didn't feel comfortable with the setup and chose not to have anything from the front line.

I ordered two of the wraps on two occasions, and I didn't like either of them. One time I actually got the eggplant wrap with chicken added. When I said that it had chicken in it, the guy said "that's ok, it's normally extra, but you can have it since it was our mistake" and then walked off. I had to flag down someone else to point out that I actually wanted a vegetarian wrap for a reason. It took them twice as long to get the second wrap out. It only made me angry because there was only one other customer in line, ordering pre-made food, and it shouldn't take 15 minutes to re-make a wrap. Once I got it, the eggplant was cold and soggy (I would have forgiven fresh-fried eggplant, yum).

I generally try to give a place three solid food items before I discount them, and I try not to hold a bad service experience against an establishment, as everyone will have a bad day. However, I'll not go back due to my general unease about their food handling (same reason I don't eat at Anna's), and the general blandness of their two vegetarian wraps.

Reasonable enough. Thanks for the info. That response on the eggplant wrap is quite poor indeed.
(The sauteed pasta things don't, I believe, come off the front line - they assemble the ingredients in the saucepan, and the sauces, at least for the piccata, marsala, etc, are in plastic squirt bottles, amusingly enough. That said, I have no idea how well they clean up the saucepans in between, or how their food handling is, generally - I've avoided the front-line stuff myself so far.)

Uh-oh, they're in that cursed location where every restaurant fails?

One of those locations. Though Sagra seems to be doing OK in the other (formerly?) cursed location.

Only the last two. Carberry's enjoyed a long and happy reign, and of course the original Steve's flourished there for many years.

I don't think they have worked out the kinks yet. I have gotten the same salad three times and each time it was a different size... getting smaller each time. The last time I got it I really felt cheated.

it's okay...

We went for dinner with kiddo, two Friday nights ago. I likened it to "Old Country Buffet" without the buffet.

Yeah, it's okay. We've gotten takeout from there a few times. It hits the spot for meatloafy comfort food for me. But certainly not light and healthy. The saute specials, in particular, are quite buttery.

I went last week for lunch and had a chicken salad club with fries included. It was about as basic and non - fancy as one can get. If your looking for gourmet or food with a lot of zest this is probably not the place for you. I like the fact that they have a really wide selection of "comfort food" at reasonable prices that you cant get elsewhere in Davis, except for maybe some items at Mike's. For me the free parking and free WiFi is a plus. I will go back with modest expectations.
