Announcing the next DS Meetup

davis_squareI just got the confirmation that the 15th of October (Wednesday) will be the next DS meetup. This month, we are back to our home base of the Burren. As usual, the event will take place in the back room starting at 7pm. The bar manager wanted to know if we wanted anything "Halloweeny" that day, and since I don't know what that means, I'll ask you guys. I'll pick up name tags and various high fat and calorie candies. Please put it on your calendar now.

One week before the event I'll post a poll to get a general sense of the number of people who can attend.

richips (Raya) who is a member here and an all around awesome person. I'm unsure if she can make it to the event that day (I don't believe she can). Raya was one of the many people whose help was crucial to the success of the DS yard sale and has spent her life helping out other people and various causes. Her charity work was recently highlighted on the firstgiving blog. If you were so moved to donate to her birthday cause that would be awesome. BTW, as was mentioned earlier by Ron, surrealestate is also raising money for the Somerville Homeless Coalition. If it is not totally "off topic", if you are a member here and are currently raising money for something, leave the link in a comment. You never know where your donations might come from.
