See three live radio plays in Somerville!
"TOMES OF TERROR III" will be performed
Wednesday, Oct. 29
Thursday, Oct. 30
Friday, Oct. 31
Saturday, Nov. 1
at 7:30 PM at Unity Church of God, 6 William Street (at the corner of College Avenue), four blocks up from the Davis Square T Station. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Make your reservations now at http://www.pmrp.org
The Post-Meridian Radio Players' live shows feature local actors in costume, a team of artists making live sound effects with everyday (and not-so-everyday) objects, atmospheric digital audio effects, live musical accompaniment and a creepy host called The Librarian.
This year's Halloween 'Staged-Radio Thrillogy' features three plays:
* "The Baby Snooks Show" – The 1946 Halloween episode of the classic comedy from the Golden Age of Radio that originally starred Fanny Brice. Directed by Rob Noyes and featuring Somerville's own Tom Champion in the role of Daddy.
* "Reynardine" — Based on a traditional English folksong, this adaptation by local writer/director Renée Johnson tells a tale of other-worldly love amid the backdrop of the annual fox hunt in an early 19th century Devonshire village. Accompanied by an English folk combo.
* "The Tell-Tale Heart" — Edgar Allan Poe's chilling tale of methodical murder, in which a man calmly narrates his cold-blooded killing of a prominent farmer in a small community. His carefully planned disposal of the evidence goes unnoticed by even the police, until the evidence itself comes back to haunt him. Directed by Ari Herbstman and scored by Andrew Hicks of "The Pluto Tapes".
Hear more about the show when The Post-Meridian Radio Players appear as guests on WBZ 1030 Radio's Jordan Rich Show on Friday night, October 24th, at midnight!
Further information about the show, ticket reservations, and the PMRP in general may be found on their website at http://www.pmrp.org. You can also email info@pmrp.org or call 888-874-7554 for ticket reservations.
Each night the PMRP will be giving away a prize for Best Costume, so bring your friends and come dressed for a special Halloween show!
