Just a friendly reminder that we are having the DS meetup tomorrow (Wednesday) starting at 7pm in the back room of the Burren.
The Burren is always nice to us and its our "home base" every other month. The bar will provide some food and I will have nametags if people want to wear them. I hope to see many of your tomorrow night.
At some point we have to decide where to go in November, so I'm open to suggestions.

Date: 2008-10-16 08:41 pm (UTC)I was writing because I was at the Burren last night to par-take in the quiz, as I do every week, and was appalled at some of the behavior within your group. I don't mean every single person, but there was about three or four people who were rude and pretentious by calling out answers with a know-it-all attitude as well as putting down most questions. As I previously said, I attend the quiz each week and I haven't seen such poor behavior out of the local college students, who are young enough be excused. I would also like to add that I don't even believe they were playing, yet they acted as though they were too good for the material. The rudeness spread to the waitstaff, the bar and the woman doing the quiz. These self-proclaimed intellects should brush up on their social skills and realize nobody was impressed, in fact as I left, my same feelings were a high topic of discussion with other groups.
Re: Quiz
Date: 2008-10-16 10:05 pm (UTC)I don't believe anybody was rude and I only recall someone from our group accidentally yelling out the answer to one of the questions. It happens occasionally during a quiz, its human nature (the woman doing quiz asked him not to yell out the answer and it was forgot about).
Next time, if you have a problem with someone tell them in person.
