Creative Journaling Class
Oct. 17th, 2008 07:21 pmCombine elements of collage, sketching, painting, scrapbooking, and mixed media art to create wonderful and unique memories of special events, weddings, vacations, weekend getaways, or just every day life.
Students will begin class by discussing different techniques and ways to infuse journals with colour and creativity using an assortment of different media and elements before getting started on a section in a new journal. Students should bring materials that they wish to commemorate in their new journals.
Class Fee: $25 (separate from supplies cost)
Supply Fee: $8 (to be paid to instructor the night of the class, cash or check only)
Supplies include: use of acrylic paints, use of paintbrushes, felt scraps, magazines, fabric, swatches, paper embellishments, card stock scraps, use of coloured pencils, markers, pens, and hair dryer [if needed]
Supplies: Students should bring desired adhesive [glue sticks and glue dots are recommended], blank journal [unlined works best – moleskine is recommended], elements to be included in journal [photos, brochures, ticket stubs, invitations, programs, etc.], small jar for water jar, preferred medium for sketching/drawing [pens, pencils, coloured pencils, etc.], hair dryer [one will be provided, but students may bring their own]
