T pass found around 1pm this afternoon near CVS.

Zone 7. Good for October.

If it's yours, let me know and I'll give it back.

If it's not and you're planning on going to Maine (or wherever the hell zone 7 is) by the end of the month, let me know and I'll give it to you.

I love most of you.

I believe zone 7 includes Attleboro.

Also Littleton, Haverhill, Bradford, Rowley, Gloucester, Westborough, and Halifax. (Is there something special about Attleboro?)

It's where I used to pick up the commuter rail when I was taking my MA degree. I guess by "includes Attleboro" I meant something a little less strong than "probably doesn't go to Maine" - but I wasn't actually sure about Maine - I mean, maybe the zones are big concentric circles around Boston or something.

Yeah, MBTA doesn't run into any other state except for Providence, Rhode Island. This is the zone map.

Is there something special about Attleboro?

It was once known as the Jewelry Capital of the World, if Wikipedia is to be believed.

I choose to... disbelieve that.

It's absolutely true. Providence and Attleboro were the epicenter of costume jewelry manufacture between 1850 and 1950.

it's true, most of the country's costume jewelry came from there until recently. I used to work at 2 of the bigger companies, Monet and Trifari, before they moved their manufacturing to Puerto Rico and places else.

Oh Yeah!

Attleboro is also the train station I was parked at (during the same period of MA degree commuting) when my car was burned to the ground and towed away.

When I asked why they towed it they said it was hazardous to the other cars, which was clearly false, since they had to have put the fire out before towing it. And of course, once the fire was out, no towing. As far as I can tell it was just an excuse to tow the car so the towing company could try to extort towing and storage fees out of a destitute graduate student.

Of course, I meant to type "once the fire was out, no HAZARD."

The police said arson and blamed teenagers, but offered no evidence of either. It seemed pretty clear that in Attleboro at that time, all mysterious car immolations were blamed on teenagers.

and South Attleboro, which is my Zone 7 destination.

Once my car died on I-95 just north of Providence, and I had to take the train to South Attleboro to get to the garage where it got towed to.

South Attleboro is also the station to use if you have a bicycle and want to reach a destination in Pawtucket.

Hm, I'll keep that in mind.

That's so much money. I actually feel physical pain over this.
Or...it could be the pizza I had for lunch.

At least it was lost towards the end of the month on a Friday.

Since October is mostly over, it's really more like $75, but still more than I'd want to lose.

I know, I just tried calling my husband to make sure it wasn't his (even though there's really no way he'd be in Davis Square this morning).

Maybe whoever lost it went into CVS to ask about it? Did you notify anyone at CVS? Do you like candy corn?

I tend to consider candy corn a seasonal display item rather than a foodstuff.
