Hello all,

At 7:00 PM tonight please come out tonight to support the only experienced ticket in this election season. McCain/Palin. We expect over one hundred people to come out to Davis Square to help paint Massachusetts Red.

Drill Baby Drill,

Jared

Hint: To make this believable you should probably have included a specific time.

If this were actually happening (well, maybe it is but it doesn't seem official), I might actually show up to this, just because I walk by the McCain/Palin "victory" office every Tuesday and honestly, those people just look depressed. I'd give them a hug, in the spirit of bipartisanship.

Is this really happening? I'll come out and show my support, but not if this is some lame attempt at a joke.

That said, there were 950 Somerville residents who voted McCain in the Republican primary, should it be too hard to get 100 of them out this close to such an important election

You'd have better luck drawing folks if you left off the "only experienced ticket" jargon.

Is this actually happening, or is it a joke or troll?

You know what state you're in, right? Charles Manson would win if he ran on the Democratic ticket.

You'd be much better off going to a swing state like PA and campaigning there. Seriously. A bunch of my friends are heading down to volunteer for Obama in Philly because they know they cant do much good here.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't consider this trolling. It's satire.

I walked by Davis Square plaza at 7:05 tonight, and saw no sign(s) of a Republican rally.

Aw, that's just mean. I'm ideologically opposed to everything on the Republican platform, but y'know, if I happened to be living in an area where most people around me opposed my deep-seated political beliefs and took agreement for granted, I'd be upset if my neighbors pulled malicious, pointless pranks mocking those beliefs and my holding them in the minority. It's depressing enough to be politically at odds with your community without having people point fingers and sneer at you for not being in line with the local zeitgeist. Was this really necessary?
