Hello all,

At 7:00 PM tonight please come out tonight to support the only experienced ticket in this election season. McCain/Palin. We expect over one hundred people to come out to Davis Square to help paint Massachusetts Red.

Drill Baby Drill,

Jared

Ah, I see.... So taking money from companies so long as you don't call it a tax is OK then and it's not a redistribution of wealth? I'm so happy a conservative was able to explain the difference because I was a little confused.

Oh, I'll see Obama's subcontracting of a sub-group of ACORN and raise you McCain's grant back in the 90's to Rasheed Khalidi's group.

The disagreement here isn't between persons, but ideas themselves. That is why I will be attending this rally whether it is organized by the "official party" or not, the ineffective leaders of the party are the only reason this election isn't in the bag for McCain already

Really? I thought it was the fact that McCain's been so far up Bush's ass the past 7+ years that he should call himself a polyp rather than a maverick is why the election's not in the bag. After 7+ years of this garbage, people don't want 4 more years of the same.

Which is why I'm strongly tempted, as an LJ moderator, to remove this. The only reason I'm not doing so is that I don't want to be accused of political censorship.

It is an unspoken rule that we do not f**k with Ron Newman.

Plus, even if the OP is a troll, maybe this will still inspire local Republicans to meet-up. If I were organizing this, however, I'd give a lot more than 4 hours notice.

Holding a political rally doesn't and shouldn't require any "notice to the city", unless the rally is going to block public streets. First Amendment, etc.

if the city tried to oppress this it would be more proof that liberals only care about civil rights and the Constitution when it serves their (liberal) agenda.

I think the word you want is 'suppress', but I agree, your event should occur without interference provided that it doesn't block traffic.

dude's a troll. he says later on that this is a fake account so he doesn't cause trouble. if he wants us to know this is legit, he should post using a legit username.

I agree, but I'm still not going to censor it. Other moderators may decide differently once they see it.

Yeah, but I just spent 3 days driving across the midwest listening to similar shit from people like Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, and Medved. I take view of one of Irvine Welsh's characters that "I'm not about to let the cunt get away with trying to pass off that shite unfiltered without challenging it."

I miss the days when Medved was a mildly sane film critic, instead of the Token Non-Christian.

Palin quote against Obama:

"See, under a big government, more tax agenda, what you thought was yours would really start belonging to somebody else, to everybody else. If you thought your income, your property, your inventory, your investments were, were yours, they would really collectively belong to everybody. Higher taxes, more government, misusing the power to tax leads to government moving into the role of some believing that government then has to take care of us. And government kind of moving into the role as the other half of our family, making decisions for us. Now, they do this in other countries where the people are not free."

It seems she's bitching about collectivism.

"And Alaska - we're set up, unlike other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs."

Who said that, dramatroll?

Who was the collectivist share-the-wealther, who was boasting to the reporter visiting from "The New Yorker Magazine, "of having been able to send a check for $1,200 to every man, woman and child in the state since, quote "Alaska is sometimes described as America's socialist state, because of its collective ownership of resources?"

McCain pwns campaign:

God, HuffPo is like crack for me. They also have McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb fumbling a critical roll against Rick Sanchez on CNN, one of the funniest things I've seen in weeks. You'd think after this guy made an idiot statement about D&D and everybody made fun of him he would be fired. Guess not.
