Forgive my ignorance, but now that the ban on dog racing thankfully has been passed, what happens to the dogs?
Will they be put to sleep? Go to the mspca? Did they have a follow up program prepared?

If not, can we start something? Because we will need to act fast to make this vote not be in vain if they don't already have a plan.

Why would you hope I am wrong? The alternative would be owners discarding scores of dogs and/or simply putting them to sleep.

This proposition was never about directly saving the dogs. They will simply be adsorbed into the system, although I would not be surprised if there is an increase in the number of greyhounds up for adoption (less demand for less valuable dogs)

This proposition was about saying MA would not condone a sport deemed cruel and inhumane by the ASPCA (and I agree witht heir assessment).
